Yueqing Huadong Safety Protection Equipment Technology Co., Ltd. (formerly known as Yueqing Huadong Safety Protection Equipment Factory, renamed in July 2022) was established in May 1993. The new factory is located at No. 16, Hongqiao Science and Innovation Park B District, Yueqing City. It serves as a drafting unit for five national standards including GB24544-2009 and GB24544-2023 self-retracting lifelines. The company is a member of the Professional Committee of China Safety & Health Protective Articles Association, a board member of the China Labor Alliance, and a member of the China Occupational Health Association and the Safety Council of the Chinese Electrical Engineering Society.

It is the leading benchmark technology enterprise specializing in self-retracting lifelines in China, with over 20 utility model patents, CE certification, three-system certification, LA certification, explosion-proof qualification certificate, and after-sales service certification. Product quality matches international top brands, with weight and volume specifications leading globally. The explosion-proof self-retracting lifeline was successfully developed in 2020, obtaining the first domestic explosion-proof qualification certificate. By the end of 2022, a core patented product, the progressive self-retracting lifeline, achieved world-leading levels in key technical indicators such as impact force and fall distance, entering mass production. In early 2023, the smart magnetic recovery self-retracting lifeline was successfully prototyped, being the first domestically; some models have already entered mass production.

The fully sealed self-retracting device, rescue function self-retracting device, and fire training specific self-retracting device are all the first of their kind domestically, while the steel stranded wire self-locking device is the world's first. Currently, annual production capacity stands at 30,000 units, with a maximum annual capacity reaching up to 100,000 units. Utilizing the most advanced processing equipment domestically (such as machining centers, five-axis four-linkage CNC lathes, turret CNC Y-axis lifting CNC machines), along with core patented technology progressive buffer devices, all products are completed through cutting-edge processes.
